Hi, I recently contacted Wordfence because your plugin kept coming up with alerts and errors for file modifications.

I contacted Wordfence and they wanted me to contact your team to let them know the following.

    Hi @goldendust20

If you look at the page below you can see that version 3.4.8 was released a few hours ago today:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/mage-eventpress/

Under the Development tab click on the Browse the code link and expand the tags section:

    https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/mage-eventpress/#tags

<strong>You will see that there isn't a tag number for version 3.4.8

This is a case of the plugin author not managing their plugin updates at the repository properly and you can let them know.</strong>

When you get a chance could you look into this so your plugin isn’t being flagged as potentially infected with each update?

    Great plugin otherwise, thank you!

Thank you @goldendust20 for your message, The file change warnings are because recently we update some code and style in the current version but we changed version no 3.4.8 yet.

So when wordfence gets the updated files in the same version number it’s throwing that file change warning. We will release a new version (3.4.9) very soon with lots more new features and after that, we will add the 3.4.8 version into the tags folder.

So for now you can ignore the Wordfence file change warnings of our plugin.

Thanks Abdullah. If I understand, essentially what’s happening is minor updates are going out but unless your team makes incremental version changes, the Wordfence plugin is comparing the changes to the repository version that doesn’t match your new (non-revisioned) version, and this is what is causing alerts?

Is there any way to change this for our security people who monitor for viruses and malware? The plugin works great! But it seems this is the only plugin that makes all of these alerts and our security people are spending time looking at each file difference to make sure we weren’t ‘actually’ hacked, since we would not know now with all the false negatives.

    Thank you for your help!
