  • I am having the same problem also.

There seems to be a memory leak in the program that is causing the RAM to be tied up and freezing the whole hosting account

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. @goldmaverick: Have you fixed the issue already? The site loads ok for me.

The message looks like it is from a missing file, “wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfIPWhitelist.php” if you’re not using the current version of Wordfence. It might be from a failed automatic update — we have seen this in rare cases lately, mostly on GoDaddy sites. Can you check if that file is missing?

If so, the easiest solution would be to reinstall Wordfence, following these steps:
    1. Using FTP, SFTP, or the host’s file manager, rename the “wordfence” folder to “wordfence-old”
    2. Log into the site and go to the Plugins page
    3. Install a new copy of Wordfence and activate it

If that has helped, you can remove the “wordfence-old” directory. (If possible, you could make a zip file of that directory before removing it, and let me know if you’re able to send it to me — I’d like to see which files are missing to find out why the update may have failed.)

Yes, I deleted and reinstalled Wordfence. That appeared to have corrected the issue.

    Thank you.
