Hi Thomas,
Did you install an under-construction plugin? Can you access /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php without being logged in and do you see a ‘0’ when you access that?
Regards,
Mark

No

Yes, but I’ll try again
It did stop to work, after I did Update WordPress to the newest version
I’m getting this, because of I had to re:install and did get a new code?
Scan Engine Error: Wordfence could not start a scan because the cron key does not match the saved key.
What to do?
Are you using a caching plugin?
Hi Mark,
I am getting the same error as Thomas and yes I did install the Under Construction plugin.
What would I need to do to rectify this issue? It was fine before I installed the UC plugin.
Kind regards,
Shenyan
Shenyan, the under construction plugin will break scanning until you disable it. There’s no workaround unless you can tell your UC plugin to ignore the /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php URL.
Regards,
Mark.
I’m having the same problem.
I’m getting this error:
Wordfence Live Activity: Scan Engine Error: Wordfence could not start a scan because the cron key does not match the saved key.
How can I fix this?
I do not have an under-construction plugin installed
I input /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php and it output “0”
What does that mean?
I do have WP Fastest Cache installed. I disabled it and the scan is proceeding as expected now… I think. Unless it stalls and I get that message again. I guess that was it.
Thank you.
