    Hi there,

Updated my WP to the latest version recently and Wordfence seems to be acting up straight after?

From a quick run around, it looks like the modal popups ( checking cache, clearing cache ) stopped working ( the modal window doesn’t show up at all ) and when scanning the site, both activity windows don’t update in real time like it used to do before.

Reloading the scan page ( or just clicking at it again on the side menu ) will update the page with the updated scan status, but this is the only way to be able to get up-to-date scan status for the time being.

I’ve screen recorded it here ( https://youtu.be/Oeliu5SuJNQ ) – I’ve also opened the chrome console and there was no JS errors detected, so I’m not sure what actually is causing this 🙁

  • Hi,

It may be a conflict with another plugin that is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress. To troubleshoot, disable all plugins. Enable Wordfence and see if the problem persists. If not, enable each plugin until the offending plugin is located.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Brian,

Have solved this just now – it’s because of my ini_set() got disabled when I re-provisioned my server recently – so the problem has nothing to do with plugin conflicts.

Surprisingly I figured this out while trying to move my Sidebar widget around and the ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons error popped up – maybe WordFence should also check for this setting? Just a thought.

Your plugin rocks by the way, thanks for your great work.

    regards,
    Kevin Mario
