# Performance issue with Wordfence

 * I was experiencing performance issues which were resolved after removing wordfence
   however, even though it isn’t listed in my plugins I am still getting reports
   from my website by wordfence. Does anyone know if this means wordfence is still
   installed or how I properly remove wordfence. It seems a bit stealth for something
   supposed to be protecting from stealth attacks, I don’t want it accessing my 
   site without me knowing about it or having control over it
