• Just installed and testing this out.
Curious as to why when the blog post is posted to Facebook, there is no share link.. just like and comment?
When I post links to the wall myself, the share link also happens.
Must have the share link in Facebook as well as on the blog.

    thanks

Also how do you tell Wordbooker what image to pull if there are no images in the post? Is there a way to set an image?

Just found out that the fb share button from Wordbooker also went to EVERY post on my blog! Not just the one post I was testing it on.. how to control that?
    Still no like button working..

Its because through the API FB limit the “Action Links” which are the like/share/read full article sort of thing along the bottom of the post.

You can set a default og tag image (which Facebook will use) in the blog level options. I did consider including a blank image in the plugin and telling it to use that if nothing else is set.

If you don’t want it to appear on all your posts set the placement option to “Use tag” and then put [wb_fb_share] in the post body, as explained here:

Thanks for your reply. If I read this right, FB is limiting the ‘share’ link at the bottom of post and including ‘read full article’ instead? Is there a way around that?

I was also under the impression that wordbooker could be added Post by Post in the dashboard? If this is not an option, I need to know now before I go any further with this plugin. The people eventually using this won’t be able to add code to the post.

    Thanks for the quick response.

The action link can be “Share” or “Read Full Article” – its just a matter of choosing which one you want, and that’s not changed since Version 1.

What do you mean “Added Post by Post” in the dashboard?

Ok found the action link .. so many choices!

What do you mean “Added Post by Post” in the dashboard?

    Ignore as I was confused.

Will spend more time later today to fine tune this and be back with more questions.
And fyi.. I never used this plugin before, so what was in version 1 // or version 2 is irrelevant to me.
    thanks again.

So can I use this plugin with out using it’s ability to add share and link buttons, and instead use something like sociable for that?

Yes just uncheck the Like/Send and Share options and it wont show any at all in any of your blog posts.
