Word Press Site Slowdown (6 posts)

Good Morning. I've just built my first wordpress site for my photography business (www.melgattisphoto.com) and it seems to have slowed down to a crawl. My host is Fatcow, I recently installed a few plugins including W3 Total Cache, Wordfence Security and Jetpack's Stat module. I contacted my host and they said I had some coding issues and I believe a PPA logo which I had linked on the site up to today and removed, was still being called up. If someone could take a look at my site and give any help to rectify my issues I'd greatly appreciate it. I am not a coder but I can follow instructions if you can direct me what to do. Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I'll try that and get back to you later on the outcome. Thank you for the speedy response and suggestion.

Thank you Esmi. I tried deactivating plugins and saw some improvement. I've reactivated a few items and the improvement has stayed steady. I checked my site on WRC Markup Validation and got 13 error and a warning. Anybody have any idea what this means and if it could be contributing to my issues?

It appears to indicate an issue with the theme and maybe my Meta Slider plugin.
