Wootheme Storefront Error Displaying in IE8 | WordPress.org

Hi,

We have been advised by our clients that the Storefront theme we are running does not display correctly in IE8.

We tested our own and yours here:
http://demo2.woothemes.com/storefront/

Using the IE Emulator in IE Developer Tools. Switched it to IE8 and the menu jumps to a vertical display and other layouts fail too.

Our target audience will be mostly using older browsers so really need this to work for them.

Any ideas / feedback / help is very welcome.

Hey,

I’m sorry to say that Storefront doesn’t and has never supported IE8. Storefront uses HTML5 throughout which is generally unsupported in IE8. As a work around you might try installing an HTML5Shiv which will probably address most of the issues you’re having.
