  • I’ve got the same issue on several sites that use WooSidebars, which has been abandoned like everything else from WooThemes (acquired by Automattic) that’s not related to the magic moneymaking machine that is WooCommerce.

I’ve used “Widget Context” by Kaspars Dambis on a few sites. It works differently from WooSidebars, but you might make it work for your needs. It was last updated recently on 2018-01-20, so it hasn’t yet been abandoned.

WooSidebars version 1.4.4 has been deployed, today. This introduces a few updates and refinements, in addition to “pages and their children” as a condition type.

One alternative I’d suggest is Widget Logic, which is bundled into Jetpack. This adds extra conditions to each widget, for controlling that widget’s display. A slightly different take on conditionally showing widgets in a sidebar, and great for controlling individual widgets.
