WooPayments Methods disappearing on the checkout page

I hope all is well with you.

Please, I have the following problem and I hope I can count on your valuable help:

I’m building a website with WordPress (Version 6.5.4) PHP 8.1, Astra PRO 4.7.0, WooCommerce 8.9.2 and WooPayments 7.7.0 to sell e-books online.

I am using “WooPayments” to accept online payments.

In “Payments Methods” I selected: https://snipboard.io/7VbyMt.jpg
. Credit/Debit card (Required)
. Bancontact
. giropay
. ideal

When later in WordPress I click on “Visit Site”, choose and add 1 or 2 e-books to the shopping cart and go to the “Checkout” page, the following happens:

All the “Payments Methods” that I select, that is:
. Credit/Debit card (Required)
. Bancontact
. giropay
. ideal
appear on the checkout page and in less than 1 second the
. Bancontact
. giropay
. ideal
disappear, leaving only the
Credit/Debit card (Required).

To show in detail what is happening, I recorded a video lasting a few seconds which shows that the options I selected in WooPayments appear for a few moments and then disappear (I refresh my checkout page a few times so that the described behavior can be observed):

Thanks for sharing the detailed explanation.

Could you please turn off the test mode and check if the issue persists? Also, have you had a chance to look into the browser console? It would be great if you could check for any errors related to WooPayments. Have you carried out a conflict test yet? If you haven’t, you can follow the guide shared here to run it.

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:
- WooCommerce transients – Clear
- Expired transients – Clear
- Clear template cache – Clear
- Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
- Clear customer sessions -Clear
Next, clear your browser cache and try again. If this makes no difference, please can you share a copy of the following:
- Publicly accessible site link to test the issue from our end.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
You could copy and paste your reply or share it via Mozilla Community Pastebin and share the link here. This will help us investigate further and provide you with a more accurate solution.

Furthermore, navigate to WordPress Admin → Payments → Overview. Under Account details, click on “Edit details”. Then, you will be redirected to the Stripe Express account and asked to enter a phone verification code. From there, double-check if there is any information that needs to be added there and then save the changes.

Note: I had already paid with VISA in “Test Mode” and it works perfectly.

I entered the “browser console” and there are alerts that I cannot interpret.

Hi @newpr2024,

Thank you for being so diligent and collaborating with us in testing and troubleshooting this issue.

I’ve reviewed your site (it’s coming along GREAT, by the way!) and I saw the checkout experience. I paid special attention to the errors you mentioned in the browser’s console, I see they’re related to hcaptcha.

What caught my attention the most was the additional payment methods being hidden with CSS, if I disable those rules I can see them:

As a quick test, can you please try this with a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four and see if the problem persists?

I’m really excited about your discovery.

Once the situation has been identified, I believe we are heading towards a solution.

In accordance with your request, I tested the themes “Twenty Twenty-Four” and “Storefront”.

Basically both broke the structure of my website, but I was able to observe that in both “Twenty Twenty-Four” and “Storefront” the additional payment methods continue to be hidden with CSS.

I followed your verification procedure as can be seen in the two images below:

I would like to inform you that in the customization menu of the Astra theme that I am using there is a module for “Additional CSS”:

Would it be possible to introduce the CSS correction that is hiding the additional payment methods here?

Hi @newpr2024

When you select a country on the checkout page, the system dynamically applies the display condition. If an additional payment method is available in your selected country, it will show up. However, if it’s not available, the system will automatically hide it.
