    Hi,

Currently using Woo v5.3.0 and wanting to upgrade to 5.4.1. All other plugins update successfully however Woo crashes and brings down the site and a back-up restore is needed.

Error message is “INTERNAL SERVER ERROR” however after spending an age with Godaddy they tell me after a bug report that no server issues but there is a coding error within Fusion builder.. although the builder works fine for me.

I’m up to date with WordPress and my Theme versions. Any ideas please?

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear about the fatal error which occurs after updating WooCommerce.

A HTTP 500 internal server error means your web server is experiencing problems, but it can’t pinpoint the specific error or its root causes. It could be hiding almost any sort of code conflict.

If the support team of GoDaddy points towards Fusion Builder as the origin of the code that is causing this error – I’d suggest attempting to update WooCommerce with Fusion Builder (and possibly other plugins) disabled. Perhaps an update introduces a conflict between Fusion Builder and WooCommerce, or Fusion Builder and something else on your site.

If that works, but the error re-occurs after re-enabling the Fusion builder – you may want to report this behaviour to the support team of Fusion builder.

If the error keeps happening while updating WooCommerce with all other plugins disabled, and a default Storefront theme enabled – please do the following:

    1. Head to wp-admin >> WooCommerce >> Status, copy the System Status Report and paste it here.
    2. Head to wp-admin >> WooCommerce >> Status >> Logs, find the relevant fatal error log in the dropdown, click “view”, copy the entire log and paste it here.

    Thank you!

Thank you. I deactivated Fusion builders (Avada builder/core) and managed to update Woo successfully and then had no problems reactivating the builders.

Thanks for your advice. All good.

    Hi @mutchass180,

I’m glad to hear that you were able to update and the Fusion builder still works!

    Have a wonderful day ahead.
