  • The widgets are still there. I think you are suffering from the permalinks bug that will affect other areas as well. Please refresh your permalinks, as described in: Lots of pages 404 error after WooCommerce 2.1 update.

    Thanks for the reply

Did that but still they don’t show up

Can I download and install them manually?

Doesn’t work for me either – the widgets are not available in the selection, and dont show up there or on the site after flushing permalinks

@esmi, there is no point for what you did, @kontakfreak was just trying to say, they are experiencing the same problem as me, lets help each other!

Same issue here. I had my sidebars set nicely with best sellers and on sale widgets, but they disappeared after updating and they are no longer selectable in the widget options.

Re-add the widgets to your sidebars. Some of them were renamed for consistency, some (like top rated, best sellers etc) were merged into a new widget called ‘products’ which does everything.

    Making a sticky now.

amazing reply by @mikejolley : Part of the 2.1 refactor saw some of the widget id’s renamed for consistency reasons. For example ‘shopping_cart’, which has potential for conflict, was renamed to ‘woocommerce_widget_cart’.

As a result you will need to re-add widgets to your sidebars after upgrading. This isn’t an error.

As well as this, the following widgets were all merged into one new widget called ‘products’ which does everything:

    Best Sellers
    Featured
    Onsale
    Random
    Recent
Use the new ‘WooCommerce Products’ widget instead.
