Hello, I am trying to figure out how can I ignore 1 variation from variation list (i have metal type(gold/silver), ring size(34 options here) but for silver the price is the same, how can i ignore the variation not to affect to price?
You can set the price of each variation in the Product Data metabox, Variations tab.
I may not understand correctly. Are you saying that WooCommerce is offering all variations, but some variations are not available? There is a fix for that.
@lorro no no, look. I have set some variations, such as jewelry color, metal type and stone size. When the jewelry is like gold, the price changes with every size, but in silver the option is the same and the price not gonna change
You can set the price of each variation in the Product setup page, Product Data metabox, Variations tab.
If that is a lot of work because you have lots of variations, you can use a “product options” or “product add-ons” plugin (there are many, both free and premium) to show some attributes as radio buttons or as drop-downs. This will reduce the number of variations that you have.
These types of plugins don’t allow individual SKUs or individual images, but they can save a lot of work. Some of them allow the options to be priced.
The selections made by the user come through cart, checkout, order and emails.
Yeah i understand but is there a plugin or a script that may help me to get the result i want? Please find the screenshot attached, the i need to add silver in metal type option which is not affectong to price
I can’t find a screenshot, but if you are using a variable product, you will need to go through each variation one at a time and set the price. This will take a lot of time if you have lots of variations.
If you use a product add-ons plugin for some of the attributes, you will greatly reduce the number of variations.
Scripts are not the way to go. This problem happens a lot and the plugins will help. You may need to try a few to find one that suits you.
I have seen some plugins which allow you to set a price for an attribute, but these plugins tend to be costly. Here are a couple. I don’t say that they will do what you want. You will need to decide that yourself.
I don’t think WooCommerce has a variation filter, so yours must be coming from a another plugin.
Its just going to let you shorten the list of variations that are showing so it would be easier to list and modify just some of them. In your case, you should be able to show just the gold rings, and just go through those one by one to set the price.
The screenshot you provided can be achieved by clicking the dropdown menu, and choosing Add Variation like the image below:
Does this point you in the right direction? Otherwise, please provide further details of your end goal here or what are you trying to achieve so that we could address you further.
If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or http://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.
