    Hi everyone,
I really need some urgent help. After updating Woocommerce a few days ago to version 4.5.2, my password protected page will not accept the password, the page just reloads after entering the password. I have tested it on FF, Chrome and Edge, and I’ve had 9 emails from customers saying it doesn’t work for them. I have created new password protected pages and none of them work either. They just reload to the same password page.

Also since the update, any links I have added or updated on the site will not update on Firefox, it is very odd. The original link still shows. I have cleared cache, cookies, FF is up to date, tried everything, to no avail. On chrome the links have all updated straight away. I don’t know if this problem is related to Woocommerce or is solely a Firefox issue.

Since the update I also get a notice on the wp dashboard saying,” Your store’s uploads directory is browsable via the web. We strongly recommend configuring your web server to prevent directory indexing.” The directory is not browsable and I cannot get rid of the notice, despite clicking the dismiss button 50 000 times.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

    Hey @kokotaibell

Are you referring to standard Pages that are password protected (unrelated to WooCommerce)?

If that’s the case, please deactivate the WooCommerce plugin temporarily and see if that helps. If that still won’t accept the password, it’s safe to say that the issue is not caused by (or related to) WooCommerce and you might want to check this in the general WordPress forums.

If it only happens with WooCommerce active, let us know.

    Hi @senff
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes I am referring to standard pages and it has worked alongside Woocommerce with no problem until 2 days, there were two other other events that I have worked back and found, so I will head over to the general wordpress forums.

    Thanks again!
