 * Hi, I unintentionally set up WooCommerce using the existing 2014 WP theme but
   it’s too heavy and distracting. Is there a way to change over to Storefront without
   having to delete and reinstall the plugin?

 * Hey there!
 * Switching themes will not affect the functionality of the plugins you have on
   your site. Themes should only control how the content is presented on the frontend
   of your site.
 * Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!

 * Thanks [@slash1andy](https://wordpress.org/support/users/slash1andy/) but how
   do I switch themes without starting over? My site has been slowed down a lot
   after I set up the plugin so it takes forever to test anything. Is there a magic
   button that I can press to select Storefront and deselect my current theme with
   all the drag?

 * Hi, [@cherrylb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cherrylb/)!
 * > […] how do I switch themes without starting over?
 * You should be able to quickly switch themes from **Appearance > Themes** and
   clicking on “Activate” for the theme you want to use:
 *

 * If you’re not seeing Storefront in your list of themes yet, you can click on “
   Add New Theme” and look for it in the themes catalog.
 * I’m curious about what you mean by “starting over” though. Did you already make
   additional styling changes to your existing theme?

 * [@dcka](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dcka/) I actually did that. Storefront
   is supposed to be for WooComm but in the live preview it takes over my entire
   site. It moved all the widgets to the left menu from the content menu and possibly
   other things. So it created a lot of work for me.
 * I can’t even start the installation process over from the beginning. It won’t
   let me. It pulls everything from WooCommerce even though I flushed the cache,
   deleted, reactivated … the plugin.

 * Now that my 3 column website is a two column website. Yeah, I pressed the button
   even thought it looked all screwed up in preview mode. I’m going to have to write
   about my experience. And to avoid further feelings of self-doubt, I will turn
   to something constructive to soothe my ego for the rest of the night. Until the
   next product testing.

 * Hi [@cherrylb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cherrylb/),
 * Sorry to hear about what happened on your site! It must’ve been quite the mess.
   From what you mentioned, it looks like you wanted Storefront to apply only to
   your Shop pages, and for your original theme to still be used in your other pages.
 * By default, however, when you apply a theme from **Appearance > Themes**, it
   gets applied to your entire site.
 * It may be possible to apply themes selectively, but you’ll need custom code or
   a plugin like this: [Multiple Themes](https://wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-multiple-themes/).
   I’m not too familiar with that plugin, but there is a guide for using it here:
   [How to Use Multiple WordPress Themes on Your Web Pages](https://blog.hubspot.com/website/use-different-themes-different-wordpress-pages).
 * Again, I’m sorry to hear about the mess on your site. I do hope you’re able to
   sort it out and the information I provided helps, even if by just a bit.
