    Hi,

I today removed the compatibility mode for HPOS.
After we received a new order in status processing, the amount of orders in that status did not change in status widget on the dashboard.

After I re-activated the compatibility mode and it synched some missing data, the numbers on the dashboard are correct again.

Seems to be a bug with HPOS without compatibility mode here…

    Best
    Markus

    Hi Markus,

I am not sure the widget is pulling data in real time. When you reactivated the compatibilty mode it certainly triggered a manual data sync.
How long did you wait for the widget to update when you got the first order?

    Kind regards,

    Hi @conschneider,

    thx for your response.
I don’t remember whether I waited for the sync or not, but I assume, you are right with that.

I’d assume that the WooCommerce dashboard widget should show the correct data if HPOS is enabled, since it should be stable, right?

Right now, I cannot test it again and come up with additional information because of my second (really severe) HPOS issue I discovered: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bug-with-order-date_updated_gmt/

I need to keep the system in non-HPOS mode for the time being.
Maybe I find the time to setup a test environment next week.

    Regards
    Markus

This exact same thing is happening to me as well. Also with HPOS the order edit screen does not remember where you move sections.

    Cheers.

Yes, my expectation would be for the widget to catch up.

Thank you for opening the GH issue.

    Kind regards,

Topic should not be closed, same thing started happening on a site I manage, just switched to HPOS a few days ago, and the main dashboard woocommerce widget always only shows ONE order is processing.
Maybe the team could add a flush cache, or recount those orders, to the widget ?
    Thanks

    Hi there @eragonsoftware 👋

We’d like to take a look at your report on a separate thread, since this one is closed and technically resolved.

Please open a new topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/#new-topic-0.

    Thanks!

Telling people that something UNRESOLVED is resolved or “technically resolved” is 1) cognitive dissonance 2) disrespect
But hey… who am I to question the mighty coders of woo…
And you wonder why there are things UNSOLVED after years of having been reported 🙁
Allright, I will NOT open a new topic, I can live with that number being wrong, but what you are doing is WRONG.
Do you people want to solve issues, or not ?

    Never mind.
Close it as solved, it’s easier to lie that an issue has been solved, then to actually solve it

I can confirm this is still an issue and never gets fixed with each update. Is it because you want us to use the new Woocommerce home page? Doesn’t matter, you still have that orders status widget showing wrong numbers with HPOS and should be a very simple fix. Fix it!

@frizzo the way I see it, the folks at woocommerce are now more interested in controlling what us, users do (as in “open a new thread here…”), then actually fixing the darn thing.
As you said it… should be a simple fix.

Just to not let some formalism get into the way of solving the issue… I created a new thread 😉

hello, was it fixed please ? Thanks.

    Hey, @clitopwebsite!

A fix for this is set to be on WooCommerce 8.8. 🙂

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
