WooCommerce only has one version and it is the FREE one. So yes you can do it with the one you have.

Well here is my issue I created a product and I created attributes such as size ,inner color, outer color and set them to select so its a drop down selection and not text then i put the default sort order as custom ordering . I put the sizes and the colors in the terms of the corresponding attribute. I went to my product and edited it and scrolled down to product data and selected variable product . now i clicked the attributes tab and added the size attribute . I then try to add the inner color and even the outer color attributes but nothing happens but i can add a custom product attribute which i don't need. So when I goto Variations tab and I added the size variations but since the color attributes wont add I cant add the colors to the variations tab so right now i'm stuck since I need my products to have the ability to give the customer a choose of size and inner and outer colors but I have yet to get my products this way . I thought that maybe the reason I couldn't get it to work is maybe I needed the pro version but there is none so I thought maybe email and cart plugin needs to be pro for me to get my products the way I need the to be .So really looking for guidance

@splashingpixels.com, if it is the case that you need to see the setup, then it would be better to forward the guy onto professional support. As all you can do on these forums is give advice, that level of support is not what these forums can provide.

@Andrew Nevins - Why not? If someone needs help here and I am able to provide it, I don't mind helping. Or else I wouldn't have even commented on this post in the first place.

Sorry, but do not solicit people to contact you outside of the forums here. That's actively discouraged and not permitted here.

Quoting someone else who explained it well:

It helps to understand the reasons for this. While you may have the best of intentions, others do not.

We don't want to encourage people to share their login information with strangers over the internet. Also, we don't want people using this forum as a means to find and recruit for paid support work.

So really, do not ask people for their email address or share your contact information here.

@Jan Dembowski - sorry where in my statement am I soliciting paid work? I simply want to help the poor fellow out as I work for WooThemes and WooCommerce is our product.

Then get yourself listed as a plugin contributor for this plugin and avoid this whole discussion. As the expression goes I don't know you from Adam. And I am pretty sure you weren't named splashingpixels. ;)

Your user account says nothing about you working for WooThemes at all. Visiting your site make is clear that your site at least has nothing that indicates you work for WooThemes.

Also I never said you were soliciting work. I copied that text as an explanation why you can't solicit contact information.

That remains in effect. Plugin and theme authors get a pass but as I've indicated you're not listed as the plugin author or a contributor for this plugin. So don't do it.

I don't need to explain myself to you and I certainly don't need to tell you who I am. Whether or not I work for WooThemes is not relevant here as I am just trying to help a person out. If you're not here to help then leave the thread as you're not doing a good job at moderating and you're rude. I will be sure to report you.

  12. Back to the topic at hand:

@soadeathdealer You can contact anyone you like and what's outside of the forum stays outside of the forum. You're looking for help and that's cool.

But really, please keep it on the forum. WooTheme's has a site and if the support options here aren't working for you (hey, it happens) then that may be a more appropriate place to seek help.

Or contact splashingpixels on his site. Just don't seek to contact people off the forums from here. That's not how the support works here.

@soadeathdealer: I'd suggest following Jan's advice about to contact WooThemes directly if you need to pass along login credentials or similar.

@splashingpixels.com: Hi Roy. It's great that you guys are over here supporting WooCommerce but if you're going to do that you should at the very least identify yourselves as affiliated with WooThemes so future discrepancies don't happen.

If WooThemes would rather not add support ninjas as contributors to the plugin, we can also extend other options to help make support ninjas more readily identifiable to users and forum moderators such as setting a custom title for any "official" support staff. For questions, I'd suggest emailing plugins (at) wordpress.org.

Closing this thread, feel free to open a new one if you still cannot get your issue resolved OP.
