Woocommerce orders not showing on conversions

    I just noticed after adding the google analytics tracking code to the plugin, the woocommerce orders are not syncing to the revenue tab of Google analytics. Please advise how do I add this metric to google analytics.

    Hi @asadsayy ,

    I just noticed after adding the google analytics tracking code to the plugin, the woocommerce orders are not syncing to the revenue tab of Google analytics. Please advise how do I add this metric to google analytics.

    The WooCommerce Google Analytics extension tracks the conversions/sales via the “Order Completed/Thank you page” that the users see after placing an order. You will only see the orders that are placed after the extension has been set up. Old orders can’t be synced.

    Can you place a test order on the site and check if that shows up in your analytics report?

    That is strange. Can you please confirm the following:

    1. Have you enabled the e-commerce view in Google Analytics account? If not, you can follow the guide here to enable it: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1009612?hl=en
    2. Have you set up the extension exactly as per the setup guide here? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/google-analytics-integration/

    If you have already set up the extension as per the setup guide linked above and have enabled e-commerce view, but you still don’t see the analytics data, then please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Do let us know so we can help further.

    Thank you so much for your reply.
    I just rechecked I see that the amount is reflected correctly on google analytics under product revenue but under total revenue it shows a different value, also the transactions shown are different from the actual transaction that took place.Also, advise if it is possible to syn the order now via a button

    Hi @asadsayy ,

    Thank you for sending the site status report.

    I just rechecked I see that the amount is reflected correctly on google analytics under product revenue but under total revenue it shows a different value, also the transactions shown are different from the actual transaction that took place.

    The total revenue would basically show all the revenues collected from the site, including any test orders that were placed on the site after enabling Google Analytics Integration.

    Can you please send screenshots of the following:

    1. Total Revenue section
    2. Product revenue section
    3. Actual transaction

    Hi @asadsayy

    The problem isn’t likely something with the plugin but rather your specific install. Maybe a theme or plugin conflict. We support our plugins and make sure they’re working as expected with WooCommerce and WordPress core themes.

    As a starting point and to ensure Google Analytics is working as expected, try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Twenty and disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and Google Analytics to see if this resolves the problem.

    If this fixes the issue, then re-enable each plugin one at a time, then the theme, until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
