Also regarding the payments, I did a test order by choosing payment method as bank transfer, that information is added to Mailchimp.
If the payment is processed using STRIPE it is confirmed but bank transfers could take couple of days, I would like to arrange segments accordingly to send emails based on the payment status.
Hi @vbzl, Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plugin, we definitely want to try to help out. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?
- To confirm, you’re not seeing e-commerce data under a user’s profile as shown in this example.
- If not, is there any logging errors in the plugin’s logs tab (when it’s set to standard or debug)?
Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

Thanks, I do see logs, but cannot identify if it shows any error.
I could see the product name, order number under user profile. Could these be added as audience merge fields to view all at once on the audience dashboard?
I also cannot identify if the order is purchased via stripe or bank transfer, bank transfer would take couple of days so I would be sending emails once the payment is confirmed.
I am unable to see the product variants (I would like to create segments based on product variants). Thanks, I have created another post and provided more information about this.
@vbzl, thanks for writing back, see below comments to your questions:

By default, these are not added as merge tags because they are brought into the e-commerce API endpoint. It’s just a core function of both the plugin and Mailchimp You wouldn’t want to use them as merge fields anyway because they would be overwritten each time a (repeat) customer ordered something. You can always segment for these products and send campaigns through Mailchimp.
I also cannot identify if the order is purchased via stripe or bank transfer, bank transfer would take couple of days so I would be sending emails once the payment is confirmed.
That’s an interesting use-case, and it sounds like you may need to engage a 3rd party developer to achieve the desired workflow for your Woo store.
Here at the plugin team, we wouldn’t be the best resource to implement a custom solution as you’ve described. If you’re interested, check out the Mailchimp Experts Directory for possible candidates to help you on your project: https://experts.mailchimp.com/
I am unable to see the product variants (I would like to create segments based on product variants).
Can you share some examples of this behavior with links to products/variants and screenshots with what comes over to Mailchimp? When you find those examples, would you care to contact our support team over at the GitHub plugin page? From there, you can receive direct responses from the development team, log new issues and track existing ones.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @khungate , as per your advise I created a support request on GitHub (https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/issues/462) but no one has responded, is there a time line that I can expect a response.
Hi @vbzl, sorry for the delay. We are actively investigating your issue and will post updates there as soon as possible.
