    Hello. Using poedit, I revised the woocommerce-tr_TR.po file in the language >> plugin folder. It works fine after installing. But after a short time everything is back to its original state. When I check it via FTP, I see that the files I uploaded are converted to .json extension.

    woocommerce-tr_TR.po >>>
    woocommerce-tr_tr-0b8996a2cb219ae7e381f93b3be0b67d.json

    how can I solve this problem

    @paylasmaktirhayat I took a look into this and it is not WooCommerce that is creating the json files, but WordPress itself. It appears that it takes the translation files and then creates a minified/compact version to use rather than the actual po files.

    When you’ve added the translations, are they reverted after an update to any plugins? WordPress does reach out and pull translations from a central source. It may be that this is happening when you update other plugins and this is why your po edits get lost.

    There are a couple of snippets that disable these updates completely:

    add_filter( 'auto_update_translation', '__return_false' );
    add_filter( 'async_update_translation', '__return_false' );

    Hi there,

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
