• So we seem to be running into a problem with our website. We’re running WooCommerce and we HAD the “Force Secure Checkout Pages” option checked, however since we use CloudFlare as our CDN, the SSL certificate info was not passing through. And because of that, the browser was giving a “Page doesn’t exist” error.

Unchecking that option has allowed the use of the checkout pages, however they’re no longer secured. Cloudflare has issued a response on how to use your own SSL certificate with their free service by having a host reissue the certificate for a sub-domain ala [ssl.yourdomain.net], but iPage is saying that this is not possible as their SSL certificate is ONLY applied to the purchased domain and nothing else.

What in the world do I do? How do I solve this problem?

  • Wow. Did you come up with a solution on this? I too have my SSL certificate through iPage and have been looking at Cloudflare, but after reading this… 🙁

“but iPage is saying that this is not possible as their SSL certificate is ONLY applied to the purchased domain and nothing else.”

If the SSL is on the root domain or www, and can’t be moved to a subdomain, then this actually would require CloudFlare’s SSL for it to work properly.
