  • I would also like to know if this is possible.

you could make a donate $1 product, and instruct them to set the quantity to the number of $’s they wanted to donate

A belated thank-you for your reply!

I have purchased the ‘name you price’ extension.

This works exactly how the name suggests.
I set up a donation as product. Selected the product to have the ‘name your price’ option.

Customers can then enter a price and add to basket etc

Some other options are the Gravity Forms plugin, which can be used to create a custom product page by using drag and drop fields. Very easy, no coding knowledge needed. The nice thing is that Gravity Forms can of course be used for all kinds of other things as well. This asssumes you already have Gravity Forrms, otherwise you will need to also buy the Gravity Forms plugin seperately. But I think it’s worth it because of the versatility. In my case, I want to enable people to enter seperate donation amounts for various sub-categories on one page, entering their own amount, not a pre-set value.

Take a look at http://www.woothemes.com/products/gravity-forms-add-ons/ for the extension and http://lucasstark.com/estore/shop/donation-sample/ for the donation page example. (You can even download the ready made page if it suits your needs).

Another option is Donations Pro http://ignitewoo.com/woocommerce-extensions-plugins/woocommerce-donations/ which lets you set suggested and minimum amounts.

Any other ideas, please let us know…

i have a wordpress website (self hosted) and i’m trying to integrate a donate button will enable people to donate any amount they wish to by typing the figures in and they’ll be taken to the interswitch nigeria page where they’ll be requested to enter their atm card details, etc. Will the woocommerce plugin work for that?

    Sorry, I don’t know.
