Hi Alex!
We’ve been unable to reproduce this issue in our testing environment. Can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress 4.8 and the plugins Yoast SEO 4.9 and WooCommerce 3.0.9?
That being said, we visited the anish-kapoor product category page and this is what we see. Isn’t it correct?

Hi there,
Thanks so much for the reply, and we’re running the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and Yoast SEO, but sadly, the issue still persists.
We have set up templates for the meta descriptions on WooCommerce “Products” archives and these are not being respected – what happens is that the description for the first product is shown (the title however, is correct).
Please note that the site has now been launched, and so the URLs have changed to the following:
The “Store” page is now located here: https://www.dominicguerrini.co.uk/store/
An example product category is here: https://www.dominicguerrini.co.uk/product-category/anish-kapoor/
As you will be able to see, the descriptions on the pages mentioned above are wrong!
Any thoughts on this? Ideally we really do need to get it sorted!
After reviewing the source code for your site, you are outputting multiple meta data tags. The Yoast descriptions are as follows:
https://www.dominicguerrini.co.uk/store/
Description: Signed Prints & Artworks for Sale - Dominic Guerrini, London, UK.
https://www.dominicguerrini.co.uk/product-category/anish-kapoor/
Description: Anish Kapoor Signed Prints & Originals for Sale - Dominic Guerrini, London, UK.
Are these the descriptions you expected for Yoast to output on these pages? If so, the duplicate description is likely causing an issue. Please run a conflict check to determine what other feature on your site outputs the duplicate description(s) and remove the duplicate.
