WooCommerce cart and checkout translation issues

Hi there!

We are setting up a new website, but are having trouble translating everything into our native language (Estonian). Mainly the problem exists with Cart and Checkout pages where we are using WooCommerce latest version as a base.
I’ve gone through the woocommerce-et.po translation file and even translated everything I found regarding these specific cart and checkout page items, but still, these translations don’t show up. What am I missing? I don’t have any more ideas left to try out…
Also checked the theme “Iva”, but there are no translatable words that are used in the cart or checkout pages.
Also checked wordpress itself.
Even downloaded the latest stable woocommerce and WordPress translation files (Estonian).

We have detailed documentation on translating WooCommerce text strings here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/

I’d recommend the Loco Translate approach as it’s a lot easier: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/#section-5

Hi!

Thank you for your reply. I’ve installed the loco translate plugin and started translating, but still, nothing has changed. I tried with one specific theme word, but it doesn’t work.

Also I get the error that: Translation set not know in Iva.

But the main issue remains the same that I am unable to translate the cart and checkout pages using WooCommerce plugin.
In the cart page we are using [woocommerce_cart] shortcode, so that means I should translate wooCommerce language files with Loco Translator. If i search these words, I can get a match and I see that’s translated, but the website doesn’t show me that. The problem is only with cart and checkout pages.
