Hello, in order to help I need the URL(s) that are getting blocked. Otherwise there is not much I can do. Let me know if any questions about this.
Hi Jeff
Thank you for responding
In this backend URL:
https://puntoahorro.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product
if I do a category search, example:
https://puntoahorro.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product&s=belleza
most of the time it gives a 403 error.
I migrated the website from Siteground to Cloudways to see if this also happened, and indeed it did. Cloudways told me that BBQ was blocking some requests.
I don’t know if it’s true, but what is true is that I disabled BBQ and it started working fine.
Thank you in advance.
Hi @arreguisergio,
Thanks for the infos. I tried the following URL is not blocked by BBQ:
/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product&s=belleza
There is nothing in that string that would be blocked by BBQ.
Also you mention “most of the time”.. that suggests the issue is not with BBQ. Unless you have some query/URL that *consistently* returns 403 response?
Basically in order to help, I need to be able to repeat the issue on default WordPress. That means when I enter the URL/search terms here locally, they return the same result when BBQ is active. So far I am unable to do this.
Hi Jeff
OK. Now you can’t repeat the issue because I disabled BBQ.
I thought that with this data you could reproduce the error in your installation.
Thanks anyway.
Greetings
No problem @arreguisergio. Let me know if any further questions, feedback etc. Glad to help anytime.
