WooCommerce broken links

I love this plugin but came across a conflict with woocommerce (but also learned a work around so please read to the end).
When both are installed, the WooCommerce section gets an extra ‘WooCommerce’ item (where ‘Orders’ should be the first item in the list of pages). When you click either from the menu itself, (either the WooCommerce section header link, or the first WooCommerce item in the section) you get (or I get) a mostly blank page that only reads “Cannot load woocommerce.”
The other pages still work but it’s frustrating to get the error on two of the available links.
[Resolved!] Using the admin editor simply HIDE the first item in the WooCommerce section (the item that now says ‘WooCommerce’). Because ‘Orders’ is supposed to be the first item anyway. Why this extra item is getting created I don’t know, but simply hiding it seems to be a work around for the problem.

I’m using wordpress 4.0 and woocommerce 2.2.
