    Goodmorning everyone,
I have setup a wordpess site and installed woocommerce on it. Now I created a new user with the rol ‘shopmanager’. I logged out and logged in as that new user but I see that that new user also is able to add new pages, posts,…
I like to give the new user only the abbilaty to add new categories, products,… in woocommerce. Is there a way to give the new user only rights to work with woocommerce?
    Help is very welcome!

  • Hello Stefan,

The Woocommerce Shop Manager role has WordPress’ native “editor” capabilities by design. I’m note sure if it’s possible to remove this “editor” capability selectively per post type… but you can try to see if you can use the User Role Editor plugin to fine-tune the capabilities as desired.

I’ll also suggest you spend a minute to go over Woocommerce’s official guide on user permissions in Woocommerce.

    Good luck!
