The default language of the website is German.

The standard text of the buttons is “IN DEN WARENKORB”.
However, if Translatepress is active, this becomes “IN DEN WARENKORB LEGEN”.

    How can this be prevented?

    Hello,

You should be able to select this text from the Translation Editor or locate it in the string list by typing the beginning of the string, which should bring it up as a suggestion so you can select and translate it as needed.

Since the string appears to be a gettext string, please make sure that the “Disable translation for gettext strings” option is not enabled under TranslatePress → Advanced Settings → Debug, and also check that the string or its domain is not excluded under TranslatePress → Advanced Settings → Exclude Strings & Pages, to ensure the translation can be applied correctly.

If it still doesn’t display correctly, you can try translating the string using Loco Translate.

    Kind regards,

    Anca
