Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Woocommerce 2.6 and No Table Rates Option

  • Here’s my issue. I’m using variable products with options that should not only increase the cost (add-ons), but it should increase shipping costs to particular zones (in this case Canada). So if we’re selling a widget, and they choose 2 add-ons to go with it, it should increase the shipping to Canada.

    Below is my system status.

Basically I have a couple questions.

    1) Should we see the table rate as an option when creating new shipping zones? I only see flat rate, free shipping, and local pickup. I was under the impression it would have a table rate option with 2.6 and up?

    2) I tried downloading the WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping by Mangohour – but I’m having issues with it and I’m wondering if I need this?

    Thanks!!!

    Chris

Don’t know about table rates, but flat rates can be made to increase per item with a cost like 10 * [qty] for example. Flat rates can be placed in certain zones.

    See https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-shipping-zones/

That won’t work unless it can increase the shipping cost per option value.

You can look at the site I posted and see what I mean. There’s a couple options, that each increases the price. And each, has different shipping rates to Canada.

It makes sense to do a table rate, IMO.

This is what confused me, as your doc files claim you can handle table rates:

Table Rates are a shipping method that can be added to Shipping Zones as of WooCommerce 2.6. Please see our Shipping Zones guide and create zones to get started.

That won’t work unless it can increase the shipping cost per option value.

You can give each variation a specific shipping class, and in flat rate you can define different shipping costs per shipping class.

This is what confused me, as your doc files claim you can handle table rates:

Those docs are for the woocommerce.com table rate shipping plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/table-rate-shipping/, not the one by Mangohour. I can verify that the official WooCommerce one does work with shipping zones.

I have the same problem. I only see flat rate, free shipping, and local pickup. There’s no table rate option. My WOOCOMMERCE is Version 2.6.1 I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance.
