Contact your hosting providers and ask them if mailing is set up on your site
i already have a mail adress set up at my hosting provider and the mail address works. do i have to change a setting in my mail address?

That’s not what I mean by mailing, your hosting providers have the power to turn off mailing on your server. It could be turned off
but if the mailing is turned off, i can´t receive or send any mail from my existing mail address, right? the mail address is working fine. sorry, but i am not a pro in this things 🙂

In that case it sounds like an issue specific to WooCommerce, so I recommend you post here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce#postform
If no mail is sent from your WordPress install, it could mean that your host has disabled PHP’s mail function as they see it as a security risk. In my case the fix was to use SMTP mail which is more secure. I use this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/
but there are other similar ones.
This is nothing to do with your email program. That will be using its own functions and may well be working fine.
