When you click complete onboarding it asks you to enter your login so i put my email in and then it says I will recieve an email with a login link, I dont! I recieve an email with a 6 digit code? but there is no where to enter this code. Work for a web agency and setup many customers with woopayments but recently it now no longer works! On latest version of woocommerce and woopayments plugin.

  • Hi @dynamicdigitalsolutions,

Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed explanation. I tried to replicate the issue on my end but wasn’t able to.

Just to clarify, WooPayments uses your Stripe login to set up the account. During this process, you’re prompted to log into Stripe and verify your identity—this could be through a phone number, Google login, or other methods depending on your Stripe setup. In my case, I received a code via SMS and a pop-up appeared asking me to enter it.

It’s possible the pop-up became hidden if you accidentally clicked outside the window. Please try right-clicking on your browser and selecting the option to show all open windows—this might reveal the hidden verification prompt.

    Hi,

Please see link to video so you can see the process I follow: https://cdn.shopify.com/videos/c/o/v/e92384c138d8414e89f00cde177409d1.mp4

And here is the email I receive, as you can see there is no link on the email for me to click like the woopayments page says and I have no where to put the code in like what’s showing up for you.

This is affecting all of our customer sites that haven’t done payment setup yet.

    Hi @dynamicdigitalsolutions,

Thanks for the screenshot and video! Can you try using a different browser and record the entire process? Looking forward to your reply!

    Hi @dynamicdigitalsolutions,

This is a follow-up to the suggestion my colleague previously shared. From our end, it appears you haven’t logged into WordPress.com in quite some time, and the issue you’re facing could be related to browser cookies.

    Here’s what I recommend:

    • First, try clearing your browser cookies or switching to a different browser.
    • Then visit wordpress.com and attempt to log in.
      • If you’re unable to log in, please reach out to WordPress.com support for help regaining access.
      • If you can log in successfully, stay logged in and then try setting up WooPayments again.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi, that was the entire process, after that email message comes on the screen, i cant get any further and then I attached the email I get on the last message, as you can see it just sends me a 6 digit code ? I dont have anywhere I can enter that code to continue? Before you would get a email link you could click.

This is affecting all of our customers that haven’t setup woo payments set (3 stores need sorting because of this) and I’ve tried Chrome and Firefox and had no luck. Been an issue since woos new payment page

    Hi @dynamicdigitalsolutions,

Thank you for the clarification. Just to be clear about the step I recommended earlier — I’m suggesting that you log into WordPress.com directly, separate from anything related to your WooPayments setup.

Please visit wordpress.com and try logging in there using the accounts in question. Let us know if you’re able to access WordPress.com successfully. It’s important to do this for all three affected customers, as the issue might be related to their WordPress.com accounts.

Make sure to do this directly on wordpress.com, not through WooPayments or your site.

    Hi Moses,
I am able to login with the customers wordpress logins, I put the email in it sends me a login link and then I’m in. It issue I believe is with woopayments.

    Hi @dynamicdigitalsolutions,

Thank you for getting back and for trying to log in.

On the same browser where you’re currently logged into WordPress.com, please go back to your site and try connecting WooPayments again. Let me know if the result is still the same so we can investigate further on our end.

It’s important to complete this next step, as it helps rule out any potential cookie-related issues.

    Hi Moses, that worked!

So you have to be logged in already to connect if you are not it does not work as it sents the wrong email type for login. Quite a bad bug but atleast there is a workaround for now.
