Hi Ninja guys, HELP! All of a sudden my site went down! I am using WooCommerce 4.8.0. This site has been running for a few years now with no problem as I keep all plugins etc up to date.
When it went down I went into my cPanel and disabled all my plugins and installed a “Maintenance” plugin. One by one I have activated the plugins but when I get to WooCommerce the dreaded 500 error and my dashboard goes blank. I have disabled all plugins and only tried to activate WooCommerce to see if it is a conflict with another plugin, I even disabled the maintenance plugin. No luck. I also disabled the child theme and activated the MyStile parent. (also from Woo)
I know it is holiday time but please give me a hand with this.
    Thanks Janek

  • Howzit 🙂 Error 500 is a server side error usually some php related error, so easiest would be to contact your host as they can at least point you in the right direction.

You should follow the steps here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-debug-issues-after-updates/ so you can at least find the error then you can start to debug 🙂

Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply. When your post came through I was already way, way past what you suggested. But just to update I uploaded a WooCommerce earlier version 4.7 to see if that made a difference. Nope!
So I went through my plugin files in my site dashboard, not in cPanel, one by one and hit the “View Details” under each. If the message “This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WP” showed up I deleted the plugin. I also installed the latest version of WooCommerce 4.8.0. Bingo! It installed and all seems to be ok.
I just have to see why I had those other 8 or so plugins installed and if I need to replace. Thanks again for your reply, regards, Janek

    Hi there Janek,

Glad to hear you were able to get things working again! Hope everything goes smoothly sorting things out with “those other 8 or so plugins” and making sure everything is running well.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. If you have any further questions, please start a new thread.

    Have a wonderful day!
