Support » Plugin: SpeakOut! Email Petitions » Won’t Save Petitions

Installed SpeakOut today on WP 5.1.1. After creating new petition, I get message: Petition created. Use [emailpetition id=”0″] to display in a page or post. Use [signaturelist id=”0″] to display the signatures list or [signaturecount id=”0″] to show just the signature count.

But the shortcode doesn’t work and when I click on Petitions, it says:
ID Petition name Shortcodes Signatures Goal
    No petitions found.

I have deleted and reinstalled the plug-in but that didn’t help.

  • I’m going to take a guess it has to do with the new block editor. I’ve had multiple instances of things just not working, and it seems too much trouble to learn how to get there block editor to work, so I just switch back to the classic editor instead.

If it is offering you the shortcode [emailpetition id=”0″] it implies there is no petition as the id is the petition number.

Hah! I just installed the plugin and it isn’t actually saving the petition. Not sure if it is because of fresh install or not. Will fix this and release new version soon.

You will find that the petition hasn’t been saved. I have just uploaded version 1.14.11, I suggest installing that and see if petitions will save. I have tried to include a fix for the broken version.

If it doesn’t work, delete the plugin and reinstall and it should be good.

    Apologies.
