    Hi
Tried to install your plugin, Abandoned Cart Reports for WooCommerce – it looks great from the screenshots, but when I try to install it via wordpress add plugins page – install now, I get an error:

Installation failed: Could not copy file. wc-abandoned-carts-by-small-fish-analytics/admin/charts/class-sfa-abandoned-carts-abandoned-chart.php

I’ve tried it 3 times now, with the same result. I am working on a local copy of wordpress, woocommerce – have not had this happen before with plugins….

    Hey

    Sorry you’re having trouble.

Can you tell me a bit about your local environment?

    Are other plugins installing OK?

It’s almost midnight here but I’ll be online tomorrow and can help out more then.

    Thanks for being patient.

Hi – Thanks so much for your reply – I would really like to get your plugin.
Local Installation is being run by Instant WordPress Software
    Wordpress 4.74
    WooCommerce 3.05
    PHP 5.3.2
    Mysql 5.6.25

All other plugins have installed with no issues. I even tried downloading your plugin zip and installing it that way and got the same error message.
Could it be the PHP version ?

If any additional info would help – please advise – I have provided everthing I could think of.

    Thanks.

I’ll try to replicate it tomorrow to see if I can figure it out.

What timezone are you in? If I can’t replicate it on my end perhaps we can jump on Skype and do a screen share to figure out the issue.

    Hey

Alright I spun up a Windows VM so I could give Instant WP a try. I was able to replicate the issue you’re experiencing.

Here is a work around for you.

From the main Instant WP screen click “Plugins Folder” button. When the Explorer window opens you’re going to see folders for each of the plugins you have installed. Copy the folder inside the zip file you downloaded into that Explorer window. Next inside of WP go to the plugins page and activate the plugin.

I tried this work around and it worked for me so let me know if it works for you.

I think the issue might be related to some of the file names in the plugin being too long. I’m going to test that theory tomorrow and if that’s the case I’ll release a new version with shorter names.

Let me know how your testing goes.

Thanks – I will try that tonight on a copy – I am off to work right now. Oh,
should I extract the zip first ? Just wanted to let you know, there will be
a slight delay. Will get back to you late tonight.

    No problem.

Ya there should be a folder inside the zip file. You want to place that folder into the plugin directory. If you place the zip file, or the files inside the inner folder, it won’t work.

I’ll try to get some time to figure out the actual issue later today. I’m off to work as well.

    Glad you got it working!

I’m going to close this support ticket now that it’s working. You shouldn’t have any issues installing it on a production website but if you do please reach out and let me know.

Also if you have any questions or feature requests please email me.
