Won't display on Home

Greetings,

I can’t get the widget to display on my homepage. Im 1 week new to wordpress but thought the shortcode

[alfie_wp_weather woeid=”2459115″ country=0 units=”f”]

posted on my homepage would display the alfie widget no? It displays fine in the sidebar when set to display there.
