I continually recieve the following msg.:
The Twitter plugin for WordPress requires PHP version 5.4 or greater.

This server is running PHP version 5.2.17 released on January 6, 2011.

My server is running PHP version 5.5

    Please advise

The PHP_VERSION constant is returning 5.2.17 during your PHP runtime, triggering the compatibility notice.

What makes you believe you are running PHP version 5.5, not 5.2.17 as reported by PHP_VERSION?

Probably the verification report on my server and the fact that it was upgraded yesterday!

got it fixed … I upgraded php on the root of the server but had to upgrade it on the sub-folder that the site runs on … The plug-in activated … THX
