# Wix Causing Redirect Issues for WP-Admin

 * My company’s first site was on wix.com. We’re now switching to WordPress, and
   it’s caused issues.
 * So basically how we have it, is we bought our domain, and we were redirecting
   it to our wix site. But now when I go to the wp-admin URL it tries to redirect
   it to wix.
 * so ourcompany.ca/wp-admin redirects to a 404 on Wix.
 * Is there anyway to have it still redirect to Wix but to be able to use that URL
   to do some work on our new site?

 * Yes you can. But you need to contact your host about it for them to give you 
   a temporary URL. But it’ll be complicated if you build it using that coz you 
   will have to change all link back to the original domain name.
 * Sample of temp. URL using Linux Server.
    [http://servername/~username/wp-admin](http://servername/~username/wp-admin)
   or Windows/Linux [http://IPaddress/~username/wp-admin](http://IPaddress/~username/wp-admin)
 * So you will be building the site using the temp. link IPaddress/~username. Then
   once you’re finish with the project and ready to publish it, you need to change
   all the links back to your original domain i.e [http://yourdomain.com](http://yourdomain.com)
