With which template should i start THIS?

    Greetings – I’m new with this, so please don’t be angry with me if that is a stupid question.

    I wanna start a blog – wordpress installed, first blog online – everything works… Now to the design.
    I have a very special idea in my mind about how the blog should look – and i cannot find ANY template, that is “almost” like that so I can edit it.

    I hope I can describe it (with my bad english).

    – On the frontpage, only ONE blog-entry should be visible. One big logo centered above the entry.

    – No feature-overload: I don’t need “posted by”, “last year”, “tags” and all this stuff… basicly only date & comments

    – Below that (maybe only visible after a click? ajax? / or with another background color), also centered, should be 4 oder 5 boxes (2 in a row maybe) with the usual stuff: Blogroll, Flickr-Box with 4 pics, archive links.. etc

    …… hmm.. i guess i try to scribble that stuff..

    Anyone got an idea what template I could use so I could end up with a design like that?

    I haven’t seen any theme like this before, but your requirements are not big so its easy to create it within 3-4 hours of solid work.

    Shameless Inclusion: If you wish I can do the theme for you for a reasonable price.

    – 3-4 hours sounds good… but the problem is: I have never done a template from scratch… in my previous blogs I managed to edit the css and some html-bits until it looked like I imagined… took a long time, but it worked.. (and I learned some stuff)..

    but with this. i don’t know where or how to start – thats why I’m looking for a similar theme that I can edit…

    (this will be a “daily blog”) with one posting a day at one specific time (wordpress can publish prepared blogs automatically, right?)

    so – more suggestions welcome! 🙂
