    My blog: http://imperativesounds.com

    Im currently using the Blaskan Theme right now, and I'd like to change the color of the sidebar's background color. I think it'd be easier to differentiate the two columns once it's changed to something lighter.

    Please help! I just started promoting my blog today, and I'd like to make it look as nice as possible.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Add the following at the end of active theme's style.css (WP dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor):

    #primary {
        background: #f4eada;
        padding-left: 10px;
        padding-right: 10px;
        padding-bottom: 10px;

    Please do not make changes in theme files directly -- as your changes will get overwritten when the theme is updated. Rather you should be making changes in a child theme.
