There is a WP website what I moved from one server (BlueHost) to another one (DreamHost). On the new server I have updated to 3.8.1.

Now I updated NextGEN, as well, to 2.0.59 version.

When the plugin is inactive, the site works, however, when I activate it, there is an error message:

    The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

There is only one active plugin: Akismet.

For the time being I have deactivated the NextGEN plugin.

    The site is http://terrabenedicta.com/

I would need some help: what to do?

    Hello, again,

May be it helps to fidn a solution:

When I want to install or upgrade a plugin, WordPress asks for FTP access. When provided, the process seems to work fine.

When I want to upload a picture (simple, small jpg), I get a "upload error" message, and I cannot upload the file at all.

May be it is the same error what causes all these events, including the malfunctioning of the NextGEN plugin?
