    Your link is behind a http auth login, so we can not see an example of how you are using it.

    Also, how exactly are you using the shortcode?

    Sorry for that, I used the [print-me target”.the-class-of-the-article”]

    Now, it displays the article but not the featured image attached.

    ok.
    1. is the image within the .the-class-of-the-article element?
    2. is the image referred to by an absolute url (not a relative url)?
    3. does the page have enough time for the image to load?

    Again, you have a http-auth protected folder preventing us from viewing your page, so we can not be of much more assistance.
