• (Great plugin. I use it on many sites, usually on a “landing” page of a section with subpages. Example: I’ll put it on a “Products Overview” to display the children, as a table of contents.)

It would be great if you could extend the plugin to support MANUAL EXCERPTS – rather than just relying on number-of-characters or content before MORE tag.

I know that page don’t natively support excerpts, but I almost always modify my sites so that pages DO support excerpts.

Any chance you might do this?

Alternatively, is there a way I could fork the plugin to make that happen?

    Ahhh…

I see that the plugin does support manual excerpts. The problem is that the default limit_content value was cutting off the manual excerpts of 2 of the pages.

I was able to “fix” things by setting a very large number for the limit_content argument.

How about modifying the plugin so that if has_excerpt()is true and I’ve chosen to show content, then the character limit is ignored? I would think it’s safe to assume that if one has entered a manual/custom excerpt, he/she wants the full excerpt to display.
