Support » Plugin: YITH WooCommerce Wishlist » Wishlist button showing wrong state

  • Dear sir/madam,

When I add a product to the Wishlist and go to the Wishlist the product is there. When I return to the previous page the button is still showing “add to Wishlist”. The button is showing the wrong state. When I perform a “ctrl + f5” the state changes to the correct state.

    INFO:
    1. I add the products to the wistlist via a custom product archive.
    2. I added the button via a shortcode in a product loop for the custom archive.
    3. When I enable AJAX loading the state is okay but than the button is not visible when the page is loaded and it pops in after 2/3 seconds.

  • Hello there,

Thanks for contacting us, I hope you are doing well 😄

If I understand you well, what happens is that since the ajax is not activated so that each page is loaded, a request is made to the server, so if you return to the previous page you will refresh the information that you have already requested in the previous request and at the Pressing “ctrl + f5” what you do is request the information from the server again and that is why the button is seen correctly.

In these situations you can see what are the benefits of using ajax operations, in terms of how long it can take to load the button, unfortunately, that is already due to the configuration of your site, so you should find a way to optimize, an alternative that I can recommend is to look for a plugin to help you with this, such as a cache plugin or a plugin to optimize the images since they are the most common performance problems.

    Have a nice day.
