Windows Server 2008 and Permissions for Autoupdate

  • I am running WordPress on a Windows 2008 Web server in a virtual environment. I cannot get the auto-updates for the plugins to work, since the zip file cannot be saved. Also, my site map plugin cannot save the xml file.

What specific folders need write access? Is write access for IUSR what is needed? There are plenty of Unix postings on this subject, but very few that are specifically for a Windows Server.

Would love to get this fixed and have all those others in a similar environment have the benefit of the answer.

    Thank,

    Steve Boston
