I was unable to find anything specific on windows 7. It seems (keyword ‘seems’) That that operating system on some machines can not play a powerpress video with *.wmv file type. As I have so many blogs pages with that file type that have been ongoing for months now.

I am hoping to find a fix without going to another file type.

This information is benefiting so many people that need it.

Please try playing any video on this category

The only way for those with issues are on machines in other states. And I do not have windows seven on any machine that I have yet.

Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

    Thank you for reviewing this!

I also wanted to include the following:

My home computer is xp pro Internet Browser #8

I have no problem using those web pages. It plays fine for me.

All it does, is just hangs for them. No specific error message!

You can get faster response for PowerPress issues at the blubrry.com forums, forum.blubrry.com.

wmv is a Microsoft video format, I believe Microsoft is no longer using it in favor of mp4/m4v. Either way, it is not a web friendly format for today’s standards. For more info on video formats and what is recommended as well as links to how to convert formats, visit podccastfaq.com. Specifically, here’s a link to the video formats page which explains the problems with wmv: http://www.podcastfaq.com/creating-podcast/video/video-formats/
