I am a novice web non techie business owner and I have hosting that offers woocommerce one click install. My website is a work in process for my business. The estore or in my case the cshop is not the primary thing yet I need a way to process orders for services, pay invoices, accept and pay for estimate and proposals, prepayments, deposits, events and training programs. Most of my sales will only be after they have spoken personally with us. So is woocommerce just a plugin to handle these things or is it a seperate theme? When a person goes to my cshop I want a different main intro page for it but I was hopping that the woocommernce would be the bones so to speak. If I install it will become my theme. I don’t want that. I still need to get a resource to build this out. Most of the info on woocommerce seem to emphasize it as a theme vs a complement. confused.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Yes, it sounds like WooCommerce will work within the context you had in mind, especially since you’re able to create manual orders/invoices for payment *after* the work has already taken place (more information at https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#section-16).

As for the visual part: WooCommerce is a free plugin that works with most themes out there. This means you can choose your own theme/design that works for your store and it’s not tied to any pre-packaged theme installation only 🙂
