Change Default Thumbnail Size in WordPress?

  • I was googling ways to change the default thumbnail size in WordPress and came across a site that says it can help. I was wondering if this works or if there’s another way to change the default size for thumbnails? The reason I haven’t tried it is because I no longer have a website and I can’t experiment with anything. I’m most likely going to get hosting again sometime this Summer but for now my hands are tied.

    Here’s the site I mentioned:

The max size to change the thumbnail is 150 x 150, is there a way to make this larger?

I think you can put any size into the boxes, although I wonder why you would want to have a bigger thumbnail. You might aswell skip the thumbnail then if you want to make it bigger than 150x150px…

I want to make the thumbs 180 x 180. If I enter in those settings it defaults to 150 x 150. Doesn’t matter why I want to do it, just need to know how to adjust the code.
