    Nice plugin by the way.

I have a Multisite that I want to try this plugin on, but wanted to ask something before installing it. I have WP Hide & Security Enhancer(pro). The Pro version allows the option to:

    Block feed|rdf|rss|rss2|atom links

I’m assuming it would block this sitemap if installed?

  • Hi, it depends if the plugin blocks all feeds themselves or just the links. It says “Block feed|rdf|rss|rss2|atom links” so that might mean it just hides feed links and does not disable the feeds entirely. You’ll have to test this by manually visiting a feed URL when this option is activated 🙂

I took a chance and installed it. I was surprised on how different it us on a multisite vs regular site. Not that I’m complaining.

It works, but differently. I tripled checked to make sure I installed the same plugin. Here is the difference below:

SITE THAT DOESN’T BLOCK FEEDS (WHEN VIEWED: http://wordpress.xxx.com/?feed=sitemap)

    https://wordpress.xxx.com/?feed=sitemap-home

MULTISITE THAT BLOCKS FEEDS (WHEN VIEWED: https://xxx.com/sitemap.xml)

    https://xxx.com/sitemap-home.com

    Was that intentional?

No, behavior on multisite should not be different to single site.

The sitemap URL depends on the Permalink settings. Please verify that they are set to one of the “pretty” versions so that the sitemap can display on /sitemap.xml instead of /?feed=sitemap which is not accepted as a sitemap location in the new Google Search Console.

Oh ok, thanks. It seems to work just fine with “WP Hide & Security Enhancer”.
