    Hello

    I am getting insane amount of requests from AspiegelBot resulting in high cpu usage and server crash.

    Even if I ban the ip via .htaccess file it still sends “get” request to the server which is denied thus causing server usage.

    So I am assuming using this plugin will also have the same effect? Or this works differently and will help in this scenario? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Usually block by .htaccess is a waste of time because many times they have a botnet and a lot of IPs…

    I suggest you run a test because the result depends on the server processor, free memory available, other plugins and your content. After installing our plugin, I suggest you deactivate other plugins with cloud or API traffic redirection. We have one Anti Hacker Plugin without cloud/API redirection:
