 * Is this plugin act like child theme preventing theme update washout all the CSS
   modification?

 * Hi,
    values are not connected to your theme. You can update it without loosing
   them. Even if you change your default theme, custom css rules will still be displayed
   by WordPress (though, depending on the classes you’ve used, they may not work).
